Dear Parents and Guardians,
Covington Independent Public Schools understands the deep concerns surrounding the impact of the ongoing federal government shutdown on families who rely on food assistance programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). We are writing to reassure you that all Covington Independent Public Schools’ breakfast, lunch, and after-school meal programs will continue without interruption for all enrolled students.
Our Nutrition Services team remains committed to providing meals to ensure that every student is nourished and ready to learn, regardless of the status of federal funding for other programs. Your children will continue to receive meals at school as usual.
